This is all President Trumps fault and he could not get VA Benefits when President Trump was in office.
I told him he needed to do some homework because President Trump fought for our Veterans and it was the Senate and Congress fighting everything President Trump stood for that got his VA benefits stopped.

He would not listen to anything I said
When I brought up FJB he said that he did not vote for him ether he voted for Mickey Mouse the very first time he has ever voted

I totally agree! I have an older sister (we rarely speak.... obviously... ) who absolutely HATES Trump to the very core. All she wants is "her share" of the pie. No matter who pays for it, she wants a part of it.

It makes me sick... I often think what would our father (a WWII Army/Air Corps Staff Sergeant in the Philippines) think of her nonsense? Even as the baby brother in the family, I can remember heated arguments between my dad and my older sister, once she was old enough to be able to speak like that, and not get her a$$ kicked!

I'm from here and predominately of French-Canadian descent. Lots of my relatives are Ds as well. For me, I think a lot of it comes down to two things: poor education and a general belief in government as a beneficial entity. Many, if not the majority, were/are workers with a worker mentality meaning take direction without questioning the source giving the order. The much older ones who are now largely gone were very conservative both fiscally and socially since they were all Catholic. But then the D party of 50+ years ago is not the D party of today and the two may share the letter but not its spirit.
