It looks wrong. It is a carbine but has a rifle rear sight and a rifle buttstock. I have owned 2 and seen a few other rifles whose owner's changed rifles to carbines. There are FEW documented carbines with rifle stocks and vice versa. Add to it the rear sight very uncommon on carbines but standard on rifles, I would guess it being converted. Many ways help decipher or authenticate. Closeup photos of the barrel markings, rear sight and rear sight measurement from dovetail to receiver will tell a lot.

I haven’t received it yet. I will try to get the photos loaded of the receiver to center of dovetail, and the barrel markings (it will be a couple weeks till I can get it the measurement I am guessing in the 5 1/2” range) They appear to be in the same location as the rifles that were supposedly ordered by the Silver Mine in AZ. Circa 1915, I will try to load them.
