I'm not a Turkey hunter, here the Rio Grande Turkey's are dumber than a rock, and like trying to eat a mouth full of rubber bands, looks like hunting Turkeys is a lot like hunting predators which I enjoy greatly but i don't eat predators or feel like I need to. Rio7

I read something years ago that I think is good advice. I don't even remember where I read it. But it went something like, "to keep the actual importance of recreational hunting in perspective, every once in awhile, pass up a trophy. Just let it go."

I always thought turkeys were ugly birds. We just had a flock out in the yard here a few minutes ago. I could have shotgunned one from the front porch.

No doubt. We're lucky to have a burning passion for hunting something. Yours is turkeys, mine is whitetails. I can't imagine what life would've been like without it. Probly woulda took up golf or bowling or some stupid shyt like that. LOL

I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects

I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....

Make no mistake......... When it's time, I'll spend 65-70 hours in a tree with my bow in a week for 3 weeks or so. And I'll go sit on the snow when it's 10 or 20 or more degrees below zero to shoot a doe with my flint gun.

I have a passion for whitetails. Just not like gobbling turkeys.

I've sat in a tree stand in winter in the wind at 4:00 pm when the light is starting to fade freezing my azz off absolutely praying nothing comes along to shoot.

Pretty woman. Good for you!

If I told you I fished, you'd tell me I never caught a fish in my life.

Maybe we should get togther. We can call each other liars and phonies, and have a good beer. Not that stuff you drink.

A smooth, malty lager. Spatten Premium Lager, Devils Backbone Gold Leaf Lager, most Weihenstephaners, Czech pilzners.

Excessively hoppy beers are gross. Anyone can make a really hoppy ale. Just brew a [bleep] ale and hop the hell out of it to cover up the [bleep]. It takes skill to make a really good lager. Anyone can make an IPA.

Not at all. You just need a Total Wine near you. Sometime I can find Spatten and Weihenstephaner in grocery stores.
