I have a H&R SS1 22 LR. I thought it might be worth $200 tops. I looked on E-bay and I can buy a barrel just like the one that’s on this rifle for $399 + $25 shipping.

WTF????

What are these 22’s worth? Thanks.

Will other barrel such as Topper work on this?

Just sportster rimfire barrels such as 17m2, 17 hmr and 22 wmr.

Receiver has a rectangular firing pin that is built off center to impact the rim.

I don't know what it's worth in today's market but $200 for sure a few years back. You can probably make more by parting it out and get $200 for the barrel, $60 for the receiver and $60 for the stock set.

I'll give you your $200.00 back.

Joking aside, they are a great little training rifle. I took the plastic stock set off and put a wood MC youth stock set on it. Changed the feel of the gun. Mounted a B&L Elite 2-7 in low Weavers. My 10 year old grandsons have been wearing out a set of Higginez' four inch steel plates all summer.

On an auction site you would probably get +- $300.

Thanks for the replies. I've been shooting gophers with it using the factory sights. The stock comb is a little high for those sights. So, I'm thinking of mounting a low power scope on it. I think I have a base that may work on it without too much modification.

Be careful shooting them, can be addictive. Their simplicity is a virtue.

The trigger pull is a little heavy. But maybe that will help me from jerking the trigger on other rifles.
