I'd use a parallax adjustable scope for that much magnification on a rifle like that.

Elkhunternm: What a beautiful Rifle and in such a useful cartridge/caliber. Be sure and let us know how it shoots. I am also in the "prefer adjustable objective scopes" camp, even on the lower powers. Enjoy. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy P.S.: I also have several Varmint Rifles with custom wood stocks sans "checkering". Could you expound on the pistol grip cap - one of your great photos shows what looks like an ivory colored inlay inside that metal grip cap?

Very nice. So Parkwest has taken over from Remington who bought Dakota? Looks like they do nice work. Approximate cost on your rifle please? Did you supply the blank and whose barrel did they use? TIA.

Parkwest is the old Dakota, same employees and equipment.
I paid $2900 and that was with a discount. I had ordered a Dakota Varmint .22 PPC in the Spring of 2020 and made a down payment, 3-4 months later Dakota went belly-up that summer. Parkwest sent me an e-mail in January 2022 wanting to know if I was still interested in the Varmint rifle I had ordered from Dakota.
Their wood stock and as far as who made the barrel, I don't know. Just my SWAG it was made at their shop.

Does it also appear to be the old Nesika action, or at least the action Dakota was using before they went under? Nice looking rifle.

It does appear to be the Neiska action to my eye also.
Thank you.

For that caliber, expense and purpose, glass in something "slim" (like the 4-14) should nonetheless have side focus.
