Good afternoon to you my friend, I trust the day is going well for you all out east.
As long as you're able to scan a recent photo of yourself to send to them, then I can't see any reason not to do it online.
We - that is to say our family who hold PALs - have done it successfully online the last time for each of us.
The website is set up to take credit cards so once the money has cleared the CC company at least you know they're processing it, right?
They've been really overrun lately with all the silliness PM Socks is pushing through, so I'd suggest to get it in process as quickly as feasible for you.

I renewed mine online last year, the only snag was that it took almost 4 months due to covid created employee shortages.
