Other calibers such as 30:06, 243. Needing a solid bottom wood stock, my broken stock has hidden magazine box, not needing one with hinged hardware. Any leads on a replacement stock very much appreciated. Thank you John

Yes, interchangeable if action length and barrel contour is the same. Most 243s won’t swap because of the action length unless you find one made prior to the early 80s when they were still all made in the same action length as the LA’s.

Thank you AK, I have a long action. Unsure of the barrel other than the length and that it’s not a heavy Varmint barrel.

Have you tried Boyds stocks, or Numrich Arms for a replacement?

I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

See, I knew there was one there. I was at a shop on saturday and they had some take off stocks. One just like that for $15!!! It's an older tupperware, but very useable. I didn't buy it unfortunately. Also saw some Ruger m77 mkII rings for a Target/varmint model. Someone in the classifieds was looking for those last week. They were mediums and $25. A great deal. If I bought everything that I thought was a great deal, I'd have schidt hanging out the windows of my car. Walked out of that same shop with a nice Front rest for $15 and a bag (of 50) of once fired 300WBY brass for another $15.. I don't need that, but hey it was in excellent condition.. As a side note, shipping on a package like a rifle stock is going to cost about $26-$30 through the USPS!!! Prices on shipping larger items really sucks..

And UPS is double coming up here. If it makes you feel any better, I recently paid $68 shipping (ups) on a stock from Texas - seller wouldn’t ship any other way.
