A customer of mine that recently passed was the back seater in a F4. They flamed both engines out a little over 60,000’ and he said from up there the flat earthers could kiss his ass. Maybe Nav8 will chime in.

I know a few that are die hard flat earthers. They will give endless examples and reasons for their point of view. Next to them are the ones who are absolutely positive that we’re in a hologram and everything is part of a computer program, “in the matrix”. And I just tell them that we’re sitting on some kids shelf in another dimension like being an ant farm. LoL

Anyone still in the 12th century?

You must be listening to “Somewhere in Time” Coast to Coast AM with Art Bell.

Art Bell stuck around till the 14th century. Then that other guy took over.

They did the math. We're probably in a simulation.

If you work 40 hrs/wk: at 5% inflation and after 5 years, you need a 28% pay raise or to work 44 more hours (*one full extra week* per month+) to make up the difference.

This is inflation

I listen to coast to coast every morning going to work, only thing on and sometimes I'm laughing so hard at some of the callers.

Guy at work was a flat earther, we gave him so much shidt. We nicknamed him 5g cuz every day he had a new conspiracy theory on what the real reason for 5g phones were gonna be used for.

slumlord;
Good evening to you sir, I hope the day behaved well for you and you're all getting the weather you need down in your part of Tennessee tonight.

Some time back when I was attempting to ascertain just how long ago we as a species knew not only that we're sitting on a ball, but were able to calculate the size of said orb, I ran across this chap Eratothenes of Cyrene.

His claim to fame and I'd be so bold as to say it's not a terrible one at that, was to do a bit of reading and then cyphering on the subject back about 240BC and come up with a number that was very, very close to what we know today.

I mean he was the Chief Librarian at the Library of Alexandria - so no mere piker for sure - still I thought that considering how I need to pull out my phone to calculate some pretty basic stuff anymore... well you know slumlord, I was impressed is all.

All the best to you and good luck on your hunts this fall.

Dwayne

I worked with a guy that did a big concrete job that factored in the earth's curvature. I called b.s., nobody needs a slab that flat, lol. Oops. I guess they needed it to measure gravity waves.
