Hey guys, obviously I don't post on here much, I apologize for the shameless self-promotion.
^ The moose hunt on that video was shot in the Swan Hills area, west-central Alberta.
I hunted the week Sep 13th to 18th, when I got my bull.
It's the first time I've bought a moose tag in 10 years. Just happened that due to being old and decrepit I qualified for a crossbow exemption, which I got in 2021, but didn't have a chance to hunt with it last year.
I'm just a solo hunter, all the nonsense on the video is self-filmed, kinda amateur, but it's all real. Nothing fake.
Just posted it as moose season is really just getting into full swing and thought some of you might be interested.
Jim

Well done Jim!
Shot one in the Swan Hills a few years ago, very tasty. You will be eating well all year :o)
Getting my crossbow next season getting hard to pull my compound due to a shoulder injury. I hope the regulations go back to pre-NDP!
Cheers ~

I’m reading this in a spike camp in Alberta right now. It’s the middle of the back 40 of nowhere here but, surprisingly, I have cell service. Close moose encounters past two days but no shots fired. The rut is picking up and I like my chances tomorrow. Bear got into our food while we were hunting today. I’d prefer he not come back tonight. We’ll see.
