My buddy lives in a nice neighborhood in Davenport. On Tuesday at midnight the burglars broke in to his house. They found his wife's pocketbook in the kitchen counter and they got her keys to the Explorer. This car is a few years old, value $26,000. They got the wife's credit cards. The burglars got the big screen tv. They entered the carport and loaded the tv into the Explorer and drove off.

Cops came out and dusted for prints. No prints.

I have taken those kind of reports. One guy goes in an open window and takes the money out of a billfold setting on the kitchen table and his Rolex watch. He leaves the credit cards and keys. You can be tracked if you use them or take the car. Smart burglar. It happened on a regular basis. Close the dam windows people !!

My buddy keeps a loaded pistol on the night stand. They don't have a dog they have a cat. To keep the cat off of the bed at night, they close the bedroom door.
They left a kitchen window open to let in the cool night air.
The bandits cut the screen and came in.

They did steal credit cards and made several purchases online that night at 1:30 am. It seems like the cops could get the address for the credit card orders and track the criminals down.

This is weird. Two days later, the Explorer rear-ended another vehicle there in downtown Davenport. Iowa requires license plates front and rear bumpers. The Explorer had no license plates. This was a fender bender with air bag deployment.

A black guy and gal were in the front car that was in the little wreck, it was in broad daylight at 11 am. When the Davenport cops worked the wreck the couple said that the guys in the Explorer hopped out and ran away and they "didn't get a good look at them."
