Yes, I know the Tikkas have a standard action length, but I was wondering if there are still any pros or cons here.

1) Does the bolt bind or wiggle much more on a Long Action vs Short Action?

2) I thought I read where the Short Action magazines might be a little more rigid and tougher should they drop, etc. Might be internet rumors though.

It is BS to taslk about, a stick for haters to beat a dead horse with.

They use a bolt stop to shorten the stroke, (so working the action
is the same)

the action is lighter than several true short actions,

very well known for smooth operation, slop is unremarkable
either loose or tight.

in theory, it might(probably does) flex more than it would if
they had a short action. But $600 Tikkas take no back seat
to many short actions in accuracy, look at the cuts in the action,
They are as stiff as a geek dancing with the prom queen.

I have both and have noticed no difference. BSA is correct, just someone blowing smoke. I own a LA 7mm Rem mag as well as a 308. Now my 308 was converted to a LA 308 by changing the bolt stop and using LA mags. Now having the same gun go from SA to LA and swapping out the standard SA mags for LA mags and I saw not 1 thing that was different.
