My load for my lowly model 70 with 180gr ttsx 94.0 gr of 7977, rem 9 1/2 avg velocity 3280. Oal 3.600
But that 199 has a much higher bc than the 180 ttsx. G1 close to 600, have these been verified?

Then STFU. The rest of your statement is superflous bullshit with no real bearing on this discussion other than to massage your own ego. Suckin' on my titties like you wanted me.

When are you guys coming out BTW? Headed west on the 9th. I just checked mine at 500 yesterday, Summer has been hell for my shooting, but the 300 and Mashburn both shot well, thankfully.

I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

Leaving the 338 at home.. Shame... No, not necessarily. I had it in the truck, ran out of time. But that gun hasn't moved in years BSA. I wouldn't ever do it, but I think I could take it and know it's going to be fine. I have shot the same load from that rifle for awhile now and it just always puts stuff on point.

I know that rifle is one of your favorites for elk hunting. Much like mine is. A good elk rifle should always be ready to go. Always sighted in and never lose zero. My 338wm is that way, much like the rest of them in the safe. But when it comes to trusting a system, that one is dead nuts reliable. I just got off the phone with one of my buddies and was talking to him about my new to me 300wby and that is another one that is like the 338wm. However, I have not had it in the field. I may not like some feature of it, like the overly large scope. Fotis' rifle is bad azzed, looks damn accurate. Not really a question if it will produce some scary accurate groups out to 600 yards. Wondering if he's wrung it out at that distance yet???? Would like to hear the results. Sometimes with rifles like that, it's pretty boring to shoot 3 shot groups at 100 yards. Try 3 shots at 4-600 and get back to us, please.. With a rifle like that, I'd be expecting 1" groups at 400... I'm getting ready to head to the range with one of my 7mm's to fu ck with the BOSS. See what it will do at 400.

How many thousands did you seat off the lands? Hammers are not especially sensitive to jump. I sat them at 3.585" and let loose!
