Terra does a disservice to the venerable Karl Zeiss brand, IMO.

Leupold BX2 - Alpine 10X52 are better for half the cost. The Terra gives me headaches. You can find used 8X32 or 10X32 HD Zeiss Conquests for about that price. You might also look for a used pair of Leica Trinovids. The Vortex Viper which is made in the Philippines is a also better binocular.

I grabbed two sets of 10x32 Terras pretty cheap a few years back. Prepared to gift 'em to nephews if they were not suitable.
I found they really are not that bad at all. Very comparable to a set of Cabelas 10x32 I have.

Just get them as cheap as you can, accepting that they are not true top tier binos.

Doug can and will make you a much better deal on much better glass, for sure.

I don't have anything in the truck that I can afford to lose and if something says "Zeiss" on it, those are generally not low priced anything. Your glassing might be different than mine because I just use a cheap pair of Simmons 10x42's in the truck. The Swarovski, Leica and Zeiss glass leaves when I do.

My other auto is a .45

If you want Chicom binos, look at the Athlon Ares or Midas at Cameraland. He also has a $500 deal on a pair of Cronus G2 UHD 10x42s. Those might be made in Japan?????

I have a pair of the Athlon Cronus 10x42 G2. I have not compared them to any alpha binos. They are noticeably sharper than my ZenED 7x36. The Cronus received real good ratings in the Backwoods Pursuit comparison review, topping their price category. The box says they are made in China.

My truck binos are the Sightron 8x32’s that handle bow hunting & football games nicely. I owned the Zeiss Terra 10x42’s for 2 seasons & no complaints but was always bino shopping until I replaced them with Swarovski SLC’s.

My son in law uses them now & isn’t unhappy. In the last few years there are better options cheaper. Doug’s Athlons are what I have purchased as thank you gifts for my close friends who helped me on a construction project.

Had a set of SLC 10x42 and really miss them they went down the road a set of Geovid's replaced them, the Geovids are very good BUT I miss the SLC's.
