I just ordered one in .452" for .45 acp. Just wondered if anybody had good luck with them.

They work fine but they only size. You tumble lube and push up through die. I have a half dozen.

I prefer the Lee push through die for sizing and have them for every caliber I cast for. Pushing the bullets from the base reduces the tendency for the bullet to tip and size unevenly. After sizing, I run the bullets through a lubrisizer with a slightly larger die to lube them.

I am not very dexterous and have lost the tiny set screws when changing the diameter inserts for the NOE but Holy Cow they are nice and do not take up too much space.

I have a Lubrisizer but use it only for 45-70 bullets now. Everything else I use Lee push through sizers. I changed over when I started powder coating.

I agree. Use both Lee and NOE bushings. I like the NOE product a lot.

Nice thing about the NOE is if you have a lathe or even a mini lathe making custom bushings is really easy.

I powdercoat mine! I started using Lee push through sizing dies but transitioned to the Night Owl Enterprises system when it became difficult to get Lee dies in the sizes I want.

I turn my own custom diameter push-through dies. A foot long piece of 7/8-14 all-thread is good for a half dozen dies. I don't care for Lee Liquid Alox so I pan lube the oddballs and then push them through a die. Doesn't have to be hardened - a soft steel die will last forever.

Yeah, I've been thinking about making the next one too. Probably make a .358" one.

I use the .358 and .452 for 9mm and .45acp’s and some .45 Colts.
Run through the push through, heat treat, then lube on the Lyman450.

Do you size before, or after, powder coating?

It depends on the bullet, sometimes before and after. I like putting gas checks on first because the bullets stand up easier when I bake the pc’d bullets. I put them on as they are pushed through the die. Otherwise I powder coat right after casting.

This, exactly. If you want accurate bullets this is the way I have found to accomplish this.

It’s ok. You need to pay attention to how full it gets. It’s best if you invert it on the bench and funnel the outputted bullet into a bucket. But factory won’t tell you that. Then you can make an easy 1500 in one sitting
