... poked my head up over the edge of the trench to peer across no-man's land, so here goes. I have never been able to get excited about smoked sausage, kielbasa, or whatever its guise. (Oh, what the heck, might just as well stand up on the edge of the trench - especially if it is grilled.)

Different strokes for different folks. I'll say that if you can't get excited about grilled Conecuh sausage then there's something wrong. Then again, I've never gotten excited about Lutefisk.
