Opened a fresh package & sighted them in to 50. Seem to shoot great - never stuck anything though. Reviews seem mixed - thought I’d ask here for more.

They are a good head. Easy to resharpen on a stone. If you like that style of broadhead the Vantage point archery makes a one piece machined head that’s worth checking out. I am shooting them this year with my recurve. The VPA heads need to be run across a stone, not as sharp as they can be from the factory.

Have used them on 2 deer out of an Excalibur xbow. Both sailed on through and produced a good blood trail, one deer fell within sight. For me they hit close to the same spot as same weight field points. Only complaint is they zipped through so easily the bolts were lost, one even had a Lumenok

By the way, they have a $10 mail in rebate right now if post marked by 11/1.

Take broadside shots and you'll be golden.

Take a high angle shot and you're apt to curse your luck.

There's no price low enough or any rebate big enough to get me to shoot a Montec, ever again.

If I ever run out of Muzzys, I might give them a try. So far 6 have fallen to the Muzzy 125 from my Excalibur, all pass-throughs (blow-throughs is more like it). Have only recovered two. One of the lost ones had a lumenock, and was shot right at the end of legal. Last seen entering the chest from the front, then it was gone out the flank.

The three-blades do look easy to resharpen, but you gotta find them first.

Just be wary of purchasing them on Amazon or eBay if you don't know the dealer. They have a lot of copies made and some are not constructed of the best steel.

Montec is MIM construction FWIW.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, eh. laugh

Lots of G5 Montec broadhead counterfeits out there.

Guy I know uses them in a RAVIN not sure if a R26 or 29 but that's all he will use. He uses them on Hogs and Deer and has no issues.

Care to elaborate? Genuinely curious

Rather than re-hash it all.............. It's all in a nutshell here with a little reading.

Shoot great, not the best blood trail. Muzzy classic 125 6 pack are my favorite as well as stingers
