Love these. Have multiples.

Ever consider American Holly grips?

I enjoy shooting my revolvers far more than my semi-autos. A favorite 44 Magnum here.

Centennials for all seasons.

Light for Summer:

Heavy for Winter:

Medium for them other times:

And, they all conveniently fit in the same holsters, too. I know. Amazing, isn’t it?

I love my 642 no-lock. I think I would love it more if I had a front sight like yours.

Check out XS Sight Systems online. I prefer the Standard Dot Tritium for precision. The Big Dot is just too BIG. I believe this particular version is set to be discontinued; so, act fast if you’re interested. Installation requires machining the front sight into a stud, according to the precise measurements in the instructions.* Then the sight is epoxied onto the stud. Works very well:

The Standard Dot covers most of the black bullseye at 15 yards.

Just installed one on my recently acquired 3” 940 a couple weeks ago:

*If one is patient, works slowly, and measures often, it would be possible to do this with only a file and a caliper. I took the easy way, imposing on a machinist friend who owed me a favor.

Should you ever grow bored with that 15-3 the way it is, there is always the potential for interesting modifications:

The nice thing is: it’s easily reversible. You can put it back the way it was in maybe less than a half hour, if you want. I see these older S&W revolvers as being sorta like LEGOs.

Great thread! I'm old enough to have started with a revolver, Dads Single-Six to be specific. It's one of the very, very few firearms I like a great deal I've no interest in becoming mine anytime soon.

I enjoy my 2 quite a bit. Both Rugers - 45Colt and 480R

I'm thinking about getting in the Bowen line on that 480 tho

This has been my "grab and go" carry setup for years. Colt Detective Special in a Galco inside the pocket holster. The holster exterior is grippy pebble-grained rubber, and the revolver slides out of it easily without the holster moving in my pocket.

I like it becuase it hides easily in my front jeans or pants pocket, and I can hide it easily even in hot weather.

Cool little pawn shop find a few months back, unconverted bearcat, came with nice holster, 300 bucks, couldnt pass it up. Curious if an old cowboy action shooter owned it. Its much smoother than my new model

I like revolvers. Here's a pre-war unmolested Colt Official Police heavy barrel that is a superb shooter. It likes 158 grain lead ball, which is what I mostly shoot in it.
