Some time ago Accurate Reloading forums had a thread on best flashlights.

The consensus appeared to be Fenix and another maker who supplied US Airforce pilots. The latter company is now bought out / changed name.

Given the thread is something like 10 years old, what do people recommend?

Two categories - pocket sized plus a more serious, go to torch when in countryside after dark and finding way to safety, checking garden, collecting wood from wood store / bottom of garden at night.

Thanks.

Im still a fan of Fenix. Really like the PD36R for size and lumen ratio. Used to be around $100, may be cheaper now.

I consider the "Best" to be the one I have with me when I need it... and not the one at home on the shelf...

I am just a little different like that.

I buy these as shopping cart fodder to get to the $35 free shipping. I leave them scattered about in cars, trucks, tractors, range bags, jumper cable bags, first aid kits etc.

They work surprisingly well for a $1 item. I give them away also.

Maybe bought 100 in the past 6 months.

I just picked up a Streamlight Wedge. USB charging, and fits great in a pocket.

The one I use that e most for everyday use is an older version of this one:
