Interested in getting a few AA flashlights that will run a long time and don't need to be high Lumens ones.

The new led maglites are awesome. I have a small one that takes two AAA batteries and it just won't die.

Lesson I’ve learned the hard way....

Don’t store batteries ( alkaline ) batteries in the flashlights long term....

I consider the "Best" to be the one I have with me when I need it... and not the one at home on the shelf...

I am just a little different like that.

I buy these as shopping cart fodder to get to the $35 free shipping. I leave them scattered about in cars, trucks, tractors, range bags, jumper cable bags, first aid kits etc.

They work surprisingly well for a $1 item. I give them away also.

Maybe bought 100 in the past 6 months.

Just an opinion...

Look at something that uses lithium batteries. They have twice the shelf life of alkalines. 10 to 15 years is common.

This is the answer to the question. I have 4 of these and they are the longest lasting I can find when on low beam, and when you need to see something at distance has a great high beam. I buy these for little gifts I give on occasion.

My AA flashilghts are mostly a place to store dead batteries.

I would like some that give some sort of low battery warning instead of full power then nothing.

I have a couple dozen of these scattered around the house &vehicles. They are long lasting.

Throttle fixes everything. If it doesn't fix the problem, it’ll end the suspense.
