is a delightful brew. I’ve had an appreciation for a while but recently had my suspicions confirmed. My wife asked me to bring some home along with deli pizza. Wow! This is a lady that might have a dozen or so brewed beverages a year. And her choices lean toward those that are chewable; Dragon’s Milk, SBJ, Breakfast Stout and other heavy stouts (not to be confused with Guinness). This porter could easily be called stout with no question based on taste.
Now this porter has become a favorite. Not a high ABV, less than 7%, and very agreeable with food. The evening in question followed a day of turning a 75 ft white oak into firewood. Not a time for cooking. But a couple porters, pizza and a lettuce wedge each made for a good work tired feeling. Another of God’s special little gifts. And the porter’s not bad either.

Thanks.

Try a sixer of Founder's Dirty Bastard. Good stuff. Had that but not common around here. Hadn’t thought about it till you mentioned.

I agree, that is a fine brew. Don't see it often up here but have had it while traveling in the lower 48. Good stuff IMHO.
Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty.

I just bought some Edmund Fitzgerald Porter, Dirty Bastars, and German Dunkel. I like coffer stouts and porters too.
