We've had an unusually long, hot, dry spell here. Most rivers and lakes in the area are on the low side, and the small mouth bass have been hitting real well for us on the Chippewa and Flambeau Rivers. Just find a hole, insert jig or nitecrawler, and WHAM! Big smiles, all around. The boys and I have been having a blast for over a week, now. Cooler weather is upon us now, and I'm kind of anxious to see if this change will allow us to get into some walleyes, for a change. Haven't done well in that department this year. We are not "bass fishermen", per se. These were caught from shore or from a 12 ft. rowboat. Low tech, for sure. Sometimes we dangle our feet in the water, sometimes we jump right in. This is livin'.
