Method that works best for me is to go get 1 gallon of Dawn dish soap. Go upstream and find where you think their den is and spread the soap in the water all around it and along the dam. Trust me they will get out of there and it doesn’t really hurt the environment. They may come back but you can just do it again. We used track hoes and explosives to no avail. Otherwise use cable snares. This way is just easier and requires less time and effort.

Or prima-cord. I need to rescue that spool I know of for use in taking out river-blocking dead-fall to my remote cabin. Faster than a chain-saw, I bet. A few raps of p-cord, topped with tannerite, (if needed- I'm not sure it is), and awaaaay we go!

Works underwater, even.

Wait a few minutes, check for fish that need rescueing.,.....

What do you think the little white oxidizer pellets in Tannerite are? Yep- - - -Ammonium Nitrate! The only difference is the "fuel". Tannerite uses flour-fine aluminum powder instead of Diesel fuel. The ANFO needs an explosive kicker charge like a blasting cap (or maybe Tannerite) to light it off.

That's a good reason!

Tannerite will work.

I have taken a length of PVC and filled it with the Tannerite mixture. Cap both ends and shove it as far into the hut as you can...

Blow the damm.
Kill the fugga,s when they show up to fix it.
Might have to do night ops on em.

Only thing that stops em is death....
On going problem long ago.
Little Birch , Big Birch streams, Titcomb brook on the Parent Road.
Didnt have no tannerite.
Just our hand, tanker bars Pick axes.
Chill in the spot for a couple hours.
They sense the water level and flow change would come out in daylight
30-30,s 30-06,s .308,s
2 or 3 of us concentrating fire on one.
Male or female

Wait out the other.
Sometimes the dumbazz kits would come also.

An ongoing issue in Maine.
Not legal to shoot beaver up their.
Fuuuk em.

But in Tn you can when the season allows it.

I have no idea whether it'll work but when I saw this thread title all I could think of was "Oh Hell Yeah!!."

I like renegade's idea for night ops but I do have one question about that.

What kind of beer is best for night ops on beavers?

Evnin, used to trap on a registered line, also took out nuisance beaver. The old tried & true method, if you wanted the pond to stay at a certain level was the pipe out the top of the dam with a 90 degree on the end (turned up). An old trapper (not me) found that they don't swim by the dam & when they feel the leak with there hair they fix it (old wives tale)!!!!! They listen to the ripples in the dam & fix it. He could actually fool them with a tape recording. The pipe above the dam still works but ya don't need the 90 degree pipe on the end. The water doesn't make any noise in the pipe, only at the dam (on the down side) Mr Beaver can build the dam 10 ft high & the water level stays the same. Ducks unlimited does this in some of there ponds. GWP. 🐾👣🐾👣🇨🇦
