It's been a while for me. About 25 years ago. Serious question and serious answer? So much for this being an outdoor site I guess. Color me surprised.

Do rooftop tents count? last weekend if so, otherwise, about a year ago. As I get older, it does take a whole lot more motivation to get out and ground camp. I have done a bit more in a hammock in the last couple years.

Loved tent camping as a kid and need to take my son more often, but it’s hard to get enthused after spending a few years in tents in Afghanistan and Africa

Also ~25 years. Took the kids up Wheeler Peak, camped in Bull of the Woods Meadow, in a tent. Been in a camper or motel room ever since. "The Warden" refuses.

Unless bugs or cold drives me into a tent would rather sleep outdoors under the stars Last August strung my hammock from the mast of a 40’ sailboat for the better part of a week.
The meteor showers and northern lights were amazing and sunrise did not need any conversation over coffee

Two weeks ago roughly. I've purchased a new pad since! Well situated imo.

'Bout a month ago. Cherry Creek in the Sangre de Cristos. No fish in Cherry Lake.
Wind in my hair, Sun on my face, I gazed at the wide open spaces, And I was at home.

May of this year.
My best friend and myself, at the State Park on Rangely Lake, ME.
Ourselves and a couple others used to do an early spring trolling gathering on that lake for years. Bunch of schitt got in the way for just about all of us. Went a few years without doing it at all. We used to rent cabins.
Finally my pal and I got it back together a bit. But camping. Tent. Big tent. Still a tent not a cabin. Been years since I did any tent camping. Spring in that part of ME is very volatile. We lucked out, weather was great. You never know what you’re going to get handed.

Six weeks ago on Lower JoMary Lake in Maine. My wife, two spaniels and I spent four great nights in a tent under a nearly full moon with summer-like weather, few biting bugs and nobody else on the lake.
