I almost think this is a serious post.

Only thing missing is “stunt shooter”.

I'd bet they have killed more deer than any other caliber.
Still hunt with my 1951 Model 64, deadly if you keep the shots under a 100 yd.

Is this a serious question? If so....

I have killed whitetail deer with 30-30, 30-06, 300 Savge, 243 Win, 50 and 54 caliber flint and cap locks as well as recurve and compound bows. My son has so far killed 3 buck and two antlerless deer with a Marlin 336 30-30, all one shot kills.

As far as the centerfires and muzzleloaders, I have not seen a difference in killing power given the same shot placement and a deer is just as leg broke with a 30-06 as he is with a 30-30. Actually, a lung or heart shot deer, with any of these calibers, will sprint anywhere from 10 to 50 or so yards before dropping. Usually facing back in the direction they were hit.

Bullet manufacturers have had over 100 years to perfect 30-30 bullet performance at the velocities the cartridge is capable of.
.
To be honest though, all these shots have come under 100 yards, so distance will always factor into it. Where we hunt we can't see much further unless it's in the Allegheny Mountains. We don't hunt powerlines or bean fields, Etc.

The 30-30 is my go to cow killer.

Open sights, brain shot.

I don't like a scope for shooting precision at 10 yards.

Bullet technology has come a LONG way since the 1890’s, that said, it hasn’t improved so much that the 30WCF/30-30win can effectively kill deer. Many will try it as a stunt, but it requires getting extremely close to the animal and competently placing a very tricky shot. Not many shooters are capable of such a feat. Better to stick with something with lots of knockdown power, like a 6.5 Creedmoor.

30-30 was my first deer rifle I had good luck with it in the woods. Most shots were close 25-50 yards a buddy of mine killed a 6 point at 150 yards.

I think a .60-60 would be mo betta.

If you are not actively engaging EVERY enemy you encounter... you are allowing another to fight for you... and that is cowardice... plain and simple.
