Was out and about today and saw an older Remington Model 760 Gamemaster in 270 for sale. I was looking it over and noticed that it wasnt drilled and tapped for a scope. I have heard that in the first year or so of production that they were made that way. Im assuming that most of them eventually got D&Ted pretty fast. It was a cool rifle but nothing I was interested in.

My gamemaster 270 that was my grandfather's isn't drilled and taped. I think I remember him saying he got it in 1953 or 54. Him as his younger brother when and each bought one. His brothers is in 30/06.
