There was a guy who made an insulated poncho quilt type garment? He posted in the last year or so. I can't find the post. This was an individual.

Does anyone know what I'm thinking of?

My best friend is an avid backpack hunter and loves his Hill People Gear mountain Serape.

I'm looking for insulated, waterproof and light weight.

The HPG Mt. Serape is out of stock and I'm not sure if it's waterproof.

The post I'm remembering was by a guy who made a sort of improved woobie quilt. I don't remember the details.

Do some googling for that name and you can see reference to the product you are thinking of along with bin harness, etc but that's the guy ...

Thank you!

It looks like he closed up shop.

On the main label it says produced and imported in Poland, then off to the side says made in China. So I’m not 100 sure. Maybe produced in Poland from Chinese material?
