I posted this in the reloading section but thought I would post it here, thinking it might get seen by more

A buddy of mine just sent me this a few minutes ago. This is just an FYI, but Capstone group owns a few other players in the components game including Berger bullets. Don't know if anything else will be effected or not.

Thanks for the info.

Just like the Enduron powders, it appears some of the Lupua brass is victim to Putler's and Zi the Moonbeam's ambitions.

I see a list of slow selling brass. From a business standpoint it makes sense to concentrate on the high demand items.

While i am not the sharpest tack in the pack sometimes i fail to see the reasoning behind canceling commercial cartridges that are NOT used for the military..unless Lapua is taking all the brass and using it to build military brass. Follow the money...there is more to this than meets the eye..

Finland is in sort of a frozen conflict with Russia, where Finland killed hundreds of thousands of Russians who tried to invade.

Its like the Finnish saying: NEVER trust Russians.

So I understand they are going all inn on military supplies.
Most of the arms manufactures in Scandinavia, Baltic states and Europe are producing military supplies on double overtime now.

Read an article from Nammo, that Ukraine fires more 155mm ammunition in a single day, then regular European countries does in a year.

In addition, a list of countries in Europe and Asia are expanding their militaries. Germany in particular is significantly expanding their military. Countries are increasing their stocks of munitions, more training, and bigger militaries adds up to a increased demand.

Just about the time the Panic Pandemic and Sleepy Joe gets put to bed, now we get to deal with this.

Much of the suspended brass is very close to military cartridges so it would be safe to assume the production equipment could be utilized with different forming dies to make military cartridges:

Equipment that makes .222 brass can make 5.56 brass
Equipment used for .308- based cartridges and .250 Savage based cartridges (260, 7mm08, 22-250, 6mm Creedmoor, etc) can make 7.62 NATO brass
Also, some of the cartridges suspended (e.g., 7.62x53R) are similar to Soviet/Eastern Bloc military cartridges that undoubtedly are still in use by the Ukrainians and possibly to some extent by former Eastern Bloc NATO countries that certainly are preparing to defend themselves from Putin.
