A rifle/cartridge combo I want is now available. However, I have another rifle chambered in a similar cartridge. Should I:

1: Buy the rifle I want and sell the one I have.

2: Shoot the heck out of the one I have and rebarrel to my desired cartridge.

Buy the new one, keep the old one. Shoot them both.

Its the only answer.

You'll regret selling the other one.

In my case, I sell the old one that did a pretty good job and buy a new one that doesn't work.

Buy the new one and keep the old one. If you like the new one as well as you anticipated then decide whether to rebarrel it or sell.

I wanted to buy this T3x Superlight in 7mm-08. Got several M+ magazines and lots of reloading components.

Got a 700 in 6.5 CM that has been a decent gun. Magazine is kind of cramped.

Buy the new one, then only sell the old one if it doesn’t get used anymore.

The new cartridge is no better than the one you have except on paper. Game animals could give a scheit less about ballistics tables. If the one you own is a known shooter and you have dies, good data and components for it, Just shoot the barrel off it and quit worrying about the grass on the other side of the fence.

Disregard my previous post. I didn’t realize you were trading off a gay cartridge for a 7-08. Definitely sell the criedmore and buy the 7-08.

It’s not better, so that’s why I was contemplating just shooting the 6.5 CM until it needed a new barrel. I’m somewhat motivated by the amount of 7mm bullets and brass that I have.

I’d buy the Tikka and put an AICS-style BM on the 700.

My perspectives are jaded, because I actually fhuqking shoot and mechanics matter MOST. Hint.

The Teeker 7-08 suffers a Retard Twist Rate and because bullets matter more than headstamps, the 8" RPM 700 264 Kreed stomps it. Fed via binderless AICS DBM,it'll Smooch .697 BC 147's. The M+ mags in the Retard Teeker are "cute". Hint.............

Always buy a 7mm-08.

Obey lawful commands. Video interactions. Hold bad cops accountable. Problem solved.

I'd choose a Tikka over Rem 700 any day.

.............Since you already have some magazines and reloading components for a 7/08 then go for it. Might as well keep the 700 in the 6.5 and maybe do some upgrades on that one.
