Yep. 4" constant. from 3X to 9X.

Factory zero parallax at 100 meters.

Good glass.

I have one mounted on a .22lr Annie Sporter . Works great for a variable.

So, is the 1" tubed conquest a zeiss product or a meopta product? I have two 1" zeiss conquests and two meopta meopro scopes........all super scopes....I tend to lean toward the zeiss eye relief and reticles, but the glass is pretty much equal.

Cabelas offered a meopro as the euro instinct a while back.

The Zeiss Conquest MC scopes were made for them by Meopta

It can still compete with scopes in the same price range today so I would say it is a decent $400 scope with a great resale value. You will always be able to get your money back. If you don't mount it, you could probably get $500 maybe more on ebay for it. The silver ones aren't as valuable because silver isn't a popular color for a scope anymore but its still a good deal.

Try $299 when they first came out.

Great scopes. But not for over $450. No way I would pay that. I would want to be at least a $100 less

Didnt say I paid that. That is what was on the price tag of the "old" inventory scopes. Why are you shouting?

Beauty of the 3-9x40 version is consistent and better eye relief. Had the 4.5-14x version and it would be much closer to 3" on 14x.

Glass is pretty good, reticle is pretty good, and the examples I've had held zero and tracked. Good short-range scopes.

I think $459 is a bit on the high side for them, however, I love mine. I wish I'd purchased several.

Actually, while Meopta made MOST of the original Zeiss Conquests, Zeiss made the erector tube and its lenses, as they believed they could do that better.

However, those first Conquests were also the first "Zeiss" scopes that were sealed against atmospheric moisture, believe it or not. They were a result of Zeiss taking American hunting/optics writers on a tour of Zeiss factories in the early 1990s, when the Zeiss folks tried to persuade the writers that Zeiss were the best scopes in world--in spite of the fact that they were too heavy for American tastes--at least back then--and tended to fog inside. Oh, and they cost a lot more....

So Zeiss specifically "made" a scope for the American market.

All I know is I bought a used 3-9 that has been beat on pretty hard it’s whole life and has the scars to prove it. But for $150 I had to see and set forth to mount it on my hard kicking Montana in 204 Ruger. It zeroed without issues and has glass that is as good as any I’ve seen.

I like it.

The "Zeiss" name was/is borderline entrapment and many fell or it,but to date, none have panned out. Weather killed many. Hint.................

Only the 3-9X40 was made by Meopta. The others, including a 3-9X42 were made by Zeiss.

I have one with Zeiss badging that I paid $400 for about 15 years ago. That was the going price at the time. The now discontinued Cabela's Instinct scope is the same scope with Cabelas badges on it. Since then, I've picked up 4 more of the Cabela's scopes. I got one from the Bargain Cave for $250. One used at a gun show for about the same price. When Cabela's discontinued them they reduced the price to $200. I ordered 2 more.

Three of the 5 have multiple aiming point reticles, the other 2 are standard duplex. All are great scopes.

Good scopes, never had a failure.
Z reticles too busy for old eyes.

Sighted one of them in (Sako Finnlight .243) no issues. Reticle adjusted precisely. Simultaneously sighting in a Montana 7mm08 with a Tract Toric 2-10. No issues. Both were an easy time at my range. .243 Barnes 80 gr TTSX. 7mm08 Barnes 110 gr TTSX that I've had stashed away.

Probably my favorite scope, I have one on a M700 Mountain DM in 280 and other NIB still I haven't put on anything yet. IIRC they were actually made by Meopta.
