Been watching vids and other.
Looks like a good deal even at their price (since reuse).
Running 46# Blackwidow and got my 340s tuned w reg insert, plus 50gr brass behind.
But to run em I need a 175 gr tip.

Have the new Bear Razorheads in double bevel. Using alum ferrule theyre 175gr.
Got em shaving sharp yesterday.
Punched one through my block target about 20 times ( 20 yard testing ).
Fly good.

Am thinking single bevel 175 gr Iron Wills for late season or next yr.

Anybody shooting em?

My Son loves them and swears by them, and has had a lot of success with them.

For the price, I don't think you are gaining anything. You can run an adapter on a Zwickey Delta and get a 175 head .
But if you like them then you can try them. Buy used ones to save and you can always sell them later if you decide on something else.

I shot them last year. I don’t think there is a sharper broadhead on the market. I shot the S series 125 solid head with bleeder blades. They shot very well. I bought a dozen of them. I had one of them that the blade screw was not flush with the ferrule. The screw hole was definitely at an angle and was not caught at the factory. I sent it back to the factory, they never answered the phone, I ended up sending an email and the responses were slow. Took over 20 days to get a replacement for their mistake. At the end of the day they are a good broadhead, but are overpriced for what they are. Customer service was poor in my experience.

Not a Zwickey fan ( but do like their judos ). Liked old Snuffers when I shot higher poundage. Magnus 2 blades were OK but quickly came to prefer something w bleeders.

Gas and time from work make broadhead cost of no concern. Small peanuts compared to other.

Didnt take the recurve today. Took the compound w g5 strikers.

FWIW the new Bear 2 blades sharpened up easily w a Worksharp Field tool. Half arsing it and got em shaving sharp. Dunno what they Rockwell at. Double bevel.

Will pick up another pack after lunch. No antlers seen this morning. Kinda shocked.

Funny you were the one to mention price in your initial post.

Do you have anything against the Simmons Swampshark?

Not a single bevel but in the weight you want.

If they live up to the claims then they could well be a bargain.

Been around, so know price doesn't automatically mean quality/performance gain.

Picked up another pack of the new Bears in the meantime. Single bevel.
Will sharpen them today.

Figured yesterday we'd have some action, only saw a yearling. Had the Hoyt Compound w G5 Strikers.

Right on, look luck with your hunting. I bounce from recurve to compound as well. Shot the KuduPoints two years ago with my recurve. They shot great, their funny shape makes resharpening a challenge. Hit both lungs and they all work.

I remember getting my Magnus 2 blades sharp w a freakin file, maybe hit w ceramic after.

These new single bevels are being a bit stubborn.
Finally got one to shave. Two more to go.

Still a little spooked running a recurve at 46#. Am used to 55# or a little more. My old BW SA2 would shove a big fan Snuffer through a deer easy. But even back then they said 55# and up on those heads. Dont make em anymore. Brazed and a little soft, I wrecked a few.

They worked fine but were not as durable as hoped.
Same issue w new style Stingers. Ferrule can bend.

These Bears have alum ferrule too so that may need replaced eventually ( from ground smackin ).

Shoot chit and see how they hold up I reckon.

I’ve used the Iron Will 125 grain for a few years. Have arrowed Aoudad, brown bear, elk, whitetail, and black bear. It’s worked exceptionally well.

Will order a pack of Iron Will 125s. Run those on my 400s for recurve, or my 340s for the compound.
340s w 175s work form the recurve but are not as forgiving as the 400s.

As usual, I spaced asking the pro shop if they had weight tubes yesterday.

Thanks all for the info smile

Me and the boy shoot them when elk hunting. Buggers stay sharp and fly great. BUT. Will rust very fast and IW does not stand behind the warntee. Have two heads that the bleeders are very loose. Contacted IW and sent them a video, was told “ ya don’t worry about that “

For a 33.00 head I do worrie.

Will not be buying any more

Been shooting 125 gr. wides for 2-3 yrs, razor sharp out of the pack, fly great, resharpen ok,ave. blood trails, (having killed around 75 deer with a bow),after the shot you can just about watch them discolor and rust, better clean them up fast, never had any problems with them rusting etc. stored in the quiver.
Never used there customer service, but from different things I've read its probably not the best around by far.
I'll keep shooting them for now because I have a half doz. and they work just fine,if I was recommending a good reasonably priced BH it would be the Magnus, lifetime warranty and just plain work.

Interesting, the rust problems. I’ve heard that from several people. I’ve not had any rust and I don’t oil mine, and hunted in Alaska in the rain for a week.

For me they are an easy pass.

I am a CNC solid broadhead fan.

VPA's or Cut Throat's have become my go to BH's out of my traditional bows. 175-250 grains depending on the bow and tuning.

I have one cutthroat that has been through over a half dozen deer/turkeys.

I have used them 3-4 years now. I will not be buying anymore. They need to be oiled. They changed their warranty to now only be valid on heads shot through animals. Their customer service makes you really work for a warranty claim. They are not anymore durable than a $8 head.

They are sharp, and fly great! But so are many others.
