Powdercoat you one for hunting in the rain. This 358 sees some rough weather.

Bring your cleaning gear with You and wipe it down at the end of the day, no harm in it getting snowed on. Don't miss any opportunity to hunt with a 99. I'll be out Saturday morning.

Hunted with a 99 in NW PA and SW NY for almost 15 years with my 99 eg 300 savage before I became a gun nut and now have guns on rotation lol. Filled up a literal trailer load over the years in every kind of weather you can imagine. As long as you clean them at night it was never any worse for wear. I can say confidently no other gun I own will probably put down as many deer for me as that gun did. It's my son's now.
Go forth and slay them.

Got caught in a storm one weekend while elk hunting out of town. Fog rolled in and it started raining. Wind blew hard and shook the whole forest. I got turned around in a hemlock forest and thought I was going to spend a few days up there. I had raingear on but it wasn't the good rubber stuff I left at home. I finally made it out and called my wife and asked her to bring me my good raingear. There were trees down all over the highways and she barely made it out to me.
When I got home I learned that a father/son pair of hunters got lost near home here. The boy made it in but dad never did. They never found him. 44 years old. It rained 17" in two days and the wind hit 60 mph. That was a hell of a elk hunt. But the gun worked perfectly.
