Burns is an arrogant prick, but he’s not lying about the whole Berger hunting bullet thing.

He might not have been the first guy to shoot big game LR, but sure as [bleep], he was the guy that dumped gasoline on the match. I remember seeing one of his hunts for the first time. Can’t remember if it was the TV show or a DVD I borrowed from someone. Anyway, I was pretty blown away by it all. Sure, LRFs we’re around, but 500 yards was still considered a damn long shot, and when hunters did engage, it was usually a multiple shot ordeal. He was killing stuff a twice that with one shot, DRT.

I was really impressive, honestly. Next thing you know, everyone and their dog was talking about Berger bullets, and it just kept going from there.

Unfortunately, that little bit of fame went right to his head. He started getting spray tans and was so full of himself he could hardly open his mouth without having an orgasm to the sound of his own voice. Next thing you know, he’s not on TV anymore. After that, he’s quit (via lawsuit) the bolt rifle business and is assembling ARs (yes, I said assembling). I saw a recent picture of him someone posted on here the other day. I thought it had to be photoshopped. I’d a bet a Wyoming Arms AR that he has pre-diabetes and cirrhosis of the liver.

Sad, but it’s the fate of so many celebrities that can’t handle their own fame.
