Lots of great places along the riverwalk or adjacent to it from the Pearl complex down to Southtown. Cured has aged steaks, along with all their other aged meats. Bohanon’s is a classic steakhouse option. There are a couple of Brazilian places. And several Continental style places.

I haven’t been on the Riverwalk in maybe 20 years, lots of people who live here are like that. Never been a heavy-duty steak eater either so I guess I ain’t much help.

I do know the old cafe on the main drag through Utopia has a decent breakfast, Leakey oughtta have a decent restaurant too.

Leakey used to have a damned good little Mom & Pop Meskin food joint. Don’t know if it’s still there. It’s been several years since I was last through there.

You can get steak anywhere. I suggest you find somewhere that offers cabrito, and order that instead. You just may discover a new favorite meat dish. I can't remember the places on River Walk that had it last time I was there (six years ago) but look at menus online.

Hard to beat the Mexican food in San Antonio. Most of the really good stuff is in the off the beaten path Mom & Pop joints, though. Not on the River Walk.
If I want a damn good steak, I’ll grill it myself over a mesquite fire.

It costs too darn much to go out for a steak as good as one I can cook myself.

Yep. And I like the way I cook it better anyways.

"The River Walk" is equivalent to "The French Quarter".

The last place you want to be in either city.

Iron Cactus Mexican Restaurant is good, and Salt Grass is pretty good too. Never been to Bohanan's, but sounds like we need to check it out next time we're there.
