HELLO 7PRC PERFECTION! Looks like I'm building a once in a lifetime rifle to be used on most everything from here on out! I will never need another rifle after this one
How many others has RinB's thread convinced?

Good bullets properly placed always work, but not everyone knows what good bullets are, or can reliably place them in the field

If I was younger, I'd buy/build one.
I was impressed early on by the SAAMI specs, but endorsement by RinB would push me over the edge.

I will never need another rifle after this one Perhaps the saddest statement on the internet right now.

Well I just had a Ruger No. 1 rebarreled to 6 cm. Might have to get the No. 1 in 338 rebarreled to 7 prc.

I can easily think of 5 other cartridges and one upgrade that I need...
It's you and the bullet, and all the rest is secondary.

The 7mm PRC is about as appealing as Rosie O'Donnell's hairy brown starfish

Love the 7mm’s. Sell one buy two. That’s the way it goes. My last 6.5 was sold in the early 70’s - never looked back.
I prefer classic. Semper Fi I used to run with the hare. Now I'm envious of the tortoise and I do my own stunts but rarely intentionally

I will never need another rifle after this one Perhaps the saddest statement on the internet right now. He said need, not want😊 I keep saying that! My ideal number of firearms is n+1, unless I find two or more I want at that same time!

I suppose we are all shaped by our experiences. I suggested the 7 PRC for making “money shots.”
I mean something to be used by hunters who devote considerable resources (time, money, energy) to get themselves in a position where success is determined by that single shot.
I was such a hunter for many years. I am enjoying my 73rd birthday today and am no longer as driven as I once was. I do have 25+ bonus points in AZ and 15 or so in NV so there may be another desert sheep in my future. Within my self imposed limits my 270 with a 1-9 twist barrel will do everything I need but it doesn’t quite keep up with the 7 PRC.
I walk and climb when I hunt. Some of the contraptions that are used by those who post here are unwieldy beasts. I wouldn’t go afield with a rifle with a barrel longer than 24” or one that weighs over 8#. Not for me! I also detest muzzle brakes.
After all, sport hunting must allow the animal a fair chance to elude the hunter. Sport hunting, to me, is not a military action where the fate of a nation is at risk. Some of my most memorable hunts involved coming home empty handed.
