Yep, that’s a buddy of mine. Very cool hunt, no fences, real open country as you can tell. Most shots are spitting distance. Cool hunt actually, Wiley bastards.
Ping pong balls for the win. Once you've wrestled everything else in life is easy. Dan Gable I keep my circle small, I’d rather have 4 quarters than 100 pennies.
Brian, it’s private ground with no high fences. Dude released them and they hang out in a big box canyon. As you can tell they have ample food and cover so they just hang out. Can’t remember for sure how many he kills a year but he does a good job managing them. Evan is a great dude, book a hunt with him.👊🏻

I bet one of those beasts would gladly knock the piss out of a hunter if given a chance.
PRESIDENT TRUMP 2024/2028 !!!!!!!!!!
Posted by Bristoe The people wringing their hands over Trump's rhetoric don't know what time it is in America.

Holy cow. That’s not where you would expect to encounter bison. There were a couple of times where all it would take is to move at the wrong time. It was impressive watching them tear out through the vegetation. 😳

If it's warm enough it'd be interesting to transplant asiatic buffalo and some cape buffalo there, maybe some guar. Throw in some grizzly bears and the place would be like jurassic park.
Give him a jingle, Evan is a badass guy, limited trips every year 👊🏻

Ever since I read about Askins Jnr hunting guar in Cambodia, Vietnam, I would give almost anything to hunt free-range guar.

I read that they carry the deadly Covid virus so extra deadly for the vaxxed
That would be a riot. Never been to Oregon but that’s reminiscent of when I was in Panama. That’s some pretty thick chit in places. I think I spotted a thimbleberry or two even. Post a video of them getting one of them out of that stuff. That must be a bit of a task.
I knew about the buffalo on the coast, never knew they hunted them. The small herd between Beaver Marsh and Silver Lake, are escapees from a ranch near, the Upper Klamath Wildlife Refuge. When asking OFDW about hunting them, I was told no! They are private property, even though they escaped years ago, and have been feeding on Forest Service land, along with some state and private timberland. I haven't seem them for five or six years. Maybe they wandered home to the ranch, it has way better feed than the pumice can grow!
Just got a reply from them, they are booked 4 years out right now
Figured so. Pretty sought after hunt. Didja book?

I am in Florida and we do have some crap like that and I don’t hunt in it! We used to run dogs through there and they would chase out deer and bear and a few pigs
I’m booked to go this fall with Evan. Can’t wait as this seems like it will be a really fun hunt.
Nice buzzie, Evan is a great kid, you’ll kill your Buffalo and have alotta fun doin it.👊🏻

How the he'll is a invasive species allowed to run wild on public land? Whoever owns them should be held accountable and damn sure not rewarded. Before long the government will need to release some grizzly bears and wolves to keep the bison population in check.
There has been a private herd on private ground in a valley on the north shore of Kauai for years. In 2018 the place got 50 inches of rain in 24 hours, and washed over 100 buffalo into the ocean where they drowned, polluting the shoreline for weeks. It really annoyed the uber-rich residents of Princeville. Things often don't go well for introduced wildlife or people.
Looks fun. No way I'd be able to do it, but fun thinking about what rifle I'd carry if I could go. I sure as hell wouldn't be carrying a Jam-O-Matic, though it clearly worked. I'm thinking Winchester 1895 .405 Win. What would you carry?

Looks like an excellent use for your 405 Win lever action!
I was thinking it would be a great excuse to hunt with my 45-70 Marlin 1895.
458wm Whitworth with 485 fn cast or my 760 Remington 30-06 with 220 nosler though I’d be pretty tempted to use my 220 hornady solids or at least behind that first shot Nosler.
Just got back from this hunt with Evan. Had a blast and took a big old bull that they wanted out of the herd. Wasn’t as exciting as the hunt in the video but it was still a blast.
I was wondering if that was you. Great free range bull!!👊🏻

That brings back memories of reading an article by John Wootters where he and some friends had made short barrelled 458WM rifles to hunt wild bulls in the thickets along the Rio Grande. He wrote that they often had to crawl along the cattle trails to get through the thickets. They might meet a bull while on their hands and knees at the distance of a few feet.
