Who was your favorite band?

Too young,

would have had to run away from home and travel 3000 miles to get there.

They were all "favorites" but this song ranks right up there with the top of the crop

Wasn't there but ... wasn't Jefferson Airplane there? I think they were sooooo ... probably them, for me back then.

I detested the hippies then even worse than now...the memories of the protesters outside the gate at Travis AFB as we returned home pretty well cured me of the whole 60's culture and every thing they supposedly stood for. F...k 'em all, the long, short and tall.

Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.

Alvin Lee is a great pick, Geno.

I'm undecided between Joe Cocker and Santana.

I wasn't there, but I was at the Atlanta Pop Festival, one month earlier. We had 300,000 people and a lot of big groups. Butt we didn't get a movie, so our Pop Festival is lost to history.

Carlos Santana claimed in an interview that he was scheduled to go on later in the day so he decided to drop a tab of acid. He did just that, then shortly told to get ready, he was on stage now.

Carlos trippin during his performance, so the interview claimed.

Check it out at about the 0:48 mark and tell me if you think it's true.

Then watch this interview and listen to the part about his guitar neck:

Was literally "stuck in the mud" at our farm near Cut n' Shoot, Tx.......

but did get the chance to see him at his 50th anniversary, Alice's Restaurant Tour at the 1894 Grand Theater in Galveston Texas.

He had some interesting tales in that regard.

I was living nearby and friends asked me if I wanted to go with them, but I said no. I didn't want to give up a couple days of work.

Watched the TV news coverage, with the rain, the mud and the traffic jams.

Thought I'd made the right call.
