I have rifles that ARE boringly accurate so much so I don't shoot them a lot .However I do have a rifle that is not boringly accurate .For 40 years I always wanted a Mini every since I heard that it was the cats nuts for all the Eskimos who bagged wolves and Polar bears ! I won't be packing it for wolves or bears for sure . I am close to having it about a 1 1/2 group at 100 yds . I will work the trigger soon and hope to eliminate the pull that feels like the triggers is totally full of SAND. .At 73 I have come to really enjoy squeezing the trigger again when I miss (which is frequent ) .It is a very handy rifle even for a lefty with a squashed right hand and wrist .I was amazed that there is no powder flash in the face shooting LH .

I have to ask, a Mini what?

After the first shot the rest are just noise.

I’m guessing he means a Mini-14.

There is a Mini Howa, Mini Mauser, Mini-14 and a few more I think.

Mine is so far about 2” gun for five shots with ammo it likes. Been re-ported and buffered, and wears a 1-4 SWFA. I’m okay with that level of precision for its intended purpose. I only need it to be able to hit what needs hitting, and the ruggedness and dependability are huge assets. I also like the form-factor and the ability to take flush-fit mags. The trigger on mine is heavy, but smooth and predictable.

Everyone rants on their poor accuracy, but it seems AK variants get a pass.

LOL. Always heard the Eskimo’s liked them. Must be why ole Big Jim Conrad always wants one. 😬

It and the 10-22 are the only two Ruger’s you couldn’t give me another one of. 🤪

A Mini skirt would liven things up .It has the reputation of being the shotgun of rifles ! Now I have a iron clad excuse for missing ! This could save me from a charging pack of wolves as the season runs to March .

I'm still trying to figure out what rifle you are talking about and what Mini-skirts have to do with it.

I had a couple of them about 30 years ago. I think one was a ranch rifle. It would shoot very well if you waited a few minutes between shots. If i shot a 5 shot group over a 20 minute period it would routinely shoot about an inch or so… but if I shot 5 shots in 20 seconds it would be about 4”. I always assumed the barrel got hot and started warping. I also am assuming we are referring to Ruger mini 14. Very fun to shoot though.
