Organized crime contributed most heavily to the democratic party when Kennedy was elected under the pretense of Cuba being invaded and Castro and his socialist henchmen thrown out. I would guess Mafia supplied the players...but it couldn't have happened without CIA involvement.

Oswald got lucky. There is NO way there is or was some big conspiracy because over the last 60 years somebody would have talked. If anybody has ever got to Dallas and been to the place Oswald shot from they will see that is a very easy shot to make. Going dead away and less than 70 yards. Easy shot at a slow moving target. Perfect set up for a punk to get lucky.

Roger Stone’s book about LBJ makes a lot of sense. It was a combination of a butt hurt CIA over Cuba. The mafia over Cuba and broken promises old joe made to get him elected. LBJ’s connections with the mafia, cia, big oil and his megalomaniacal agenda and hate. Kennedy was going to make a run at cutting the oil depletion allowance. He and Bobby were hitting the mafia hard. LBJ was in the position to cover it up using federal resources.

I’ve always had some interest in who may have been involved but it happened well before I was born. I have no firsthand context for the times or political environment that it occurred in and have never looked into the possible motives other than hearing them brought up from time to time.

It was Oswald alone.

1. We know that some of the shots were fired from Oswald's rifle.

2. Any real conspiracy would be unlikely to take in a kook like Oswald.

3. Any real conspiracy would have included some escape plan for the shooter.

The CIA was definitely butt hurt. Dulles and others were sacked. The Mayor of Dallas was the the brother of a sacked CIA exec.

I was on the elementary playground at the Whittier School when I heard about it. I thought it was kind of neat to hear of the shooting, not knowing how tragic it really was. I remember how many kids stayed home from school to watch the funeral as their parents told them how historic this event was.

All the aftermath and speculation that still exists is interesting. We visited the site last winter and the distance from the book depository to the location of Kennedy when he was shot is not as far as they made it sound. 3 shots in a matter of seconds is easy to do when you start with the gun loaded and reload twice after the first shot.

The mystery still seems unsolved today, although there are many others that speculate as many as 11 shots fired. After visiting the site and talking to some of the people hanging around there with all sorts of pamphlets and documents stating multiple shooters, I can't make any conclusions myself from all that data. I do find it hard to swallow all the various shooters and combined timing of the shots, and to claim there were 11 is also hard to believe.


We spent quite a bit of time looking for Oswald's grave, it isn't easy to find.

While we were in Hico, Texas, they have a museum that has similar evidence that Billy The Kid actually got out of New Mexico alive and lived to an old age in Texas. It is obvious that lying and misrepresenting facts, isn't something new...

Oswald was the perfect ideological dupe. Any planning of an escape for Oswald was no concern to anyone but him. Everything played out perfectly for those behind the curtain.

Did Oswald act totally alone or was there a conspiracy? Given the lawless behavior of the CIA and FBI we've all seen over the last several years I've come to believe it's possible that one or both of those agencies were somehow involved. The CIA is refusing to release thousands of documents relating to the assassination, Why? You've got to ask yourself who had the most to gain by JFK's death? Who had the ability and means to carry it out?
