Minimum $1100

More than likely $1300-1400.

Just a wild ass guess

I believe they weigh a little under 6 pounds. I fully expect this one to go for $2,000 or more.

I love the ks more than most, but at 2k I’d be looking for a BFC.

I was thinking $1500 (ish) but you may be correct. Only ks I’ve seen go over 2k was a stainless 280 over a year ago.

^^^That^^^

If I were looking for a KS to splurge on the stainless .280 would be more inline with what I would want over a blued rifle chambered in .308 Win with a 20” non threaded barrel and factory irons. Lightweight .308’s with shorter barrels are a dime a dozen. For $2000 you’re into threaded stainless or carbon wrapped barrel price range.

Has anyone ever bought a KS pattern stock for their model 7? I’m fairly sure it’s a McMillan, or is it a Brown? Both websites are kinda confusing, but if I’m not mistaken, a KS stock will be around $700. A donor model seven will be at least $800, maybe more. I’ve already got a m-7FS in 7mm-08, that is just about perfection in my opinion. Maybe I should just be satisfied with that. It gets costly being a rifle loony!!

I don’t believe you can get a model 7 ks stock from McMillan any longer.

Might be able to from Brown; worth a call.

Incase anyone is keeping track, I'm out on this one. Going to stick with my Montana's. I've got a .308 mnt rifle now that I don't shoot.

I went $1700 on it but didn’t win. I’m regretting not going a little higher. They are hard to come by in .308. There’s a .350 Remington Magnum that’s been for sale a while, but not really what I’m looking for.

Not sure why, but that is one of my grail guns. I *almost* had one built on a Model 7 in .223, but just couldn't convince myself to do it.

That was bizarre. I’ve never seen a GB auction end with two bids at the same price.

I don’t use Gunbroker enough to know all of the rules. So I made an inquiry and they said the other bidder had a higher maximum bid?

Other bidder had something over your $1700.

He may have had $2k max bid in there and if you stopped at $1700 he may have got the rifle for $1725.

That’s what is confusing, he got it for $1700, which was my max bid. Either way, water under the bridge, and a good reminder that Gunbroker blows for numerous reasons.
