In looking at something that is more utilitarian, it seems like Turkish shotguns are flooding the market these days. I've been looking at a TriStar Cobra III pump. For those that have them, what is your opinion of it? I realize there are other options such as the Maverick 88, etc. However, I'm interested in the TriStar. I'm looking at the marine model. It has certain features that appeal to me such as ability to use chokes, chrome lined barrel, etc.

I know a few people who have used TriStar shotguns, although both have used semi auto versions. They have had zero issues and the gun has functioned as it should for 6-8 years now. One has been for a youth hunter and spent many falls in a combine, bouncing around trucks etc. It has been used daily in South Dakota during pheasants and waterfowl season with no issues.

Tristar needs to fire the guy in charge of finding names for the products. A pump shotgun named "Cobra III?" Only in a Rambo movie.
Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.
