To all the Pa guys heading out tomorrow, be safe and shoot straight!!
I will be using my pre war R in 303 and then on Thursday i will going on a old time 99 hunt with some guys from my 99 club. That will be open sights or peep only and im not sure what im using yet. Toss up between my 30-30H with Lyman peep or my 300T with factory irons. Either way should be a great time!!

Good luck, Joe. I'm hunting our opener here in western MD this weekend, then probably up to Cameron County, PA next week. Invited to Ohio to exercise my Martini .357 Maximum, might, might not.

.22 HP/.303 combo 1899H might get a turn in PA, but this weekend is with one I never hunted with but has good ju-ju - a 1929-vintage M1903 Springfield NRA Sporter that spent it's early life whacking bears on Kodiak Island. I'm on my cell phone or I'd show you a pic of it.

I have a C 32-40 in the stand, hoping a pig will get around 50 yards for me to fire down on. I can shoot open sights now I have a genuine new store bought eye. Cataract surgery is amazing

Good Luck Joe and the rest of the PA guys. Will be sitting on a milk crate up on Scranton’s West Mountain with a 308 Kimber Montana, an area where I’ve hunted for the last 60 years. Don’t really care to kill deer anymore (kind of feel sorry for them), but it’s what I’ve always done for the two weeks after Thanksgiving.

Thanks Joe. Good luck to all. Going to Cameron Cty tomorrow and staying thru Wednesday. 99F in 308 gets the nod this year. Youngest son is coming up to hunt with us, he's using with my Kimber 260 rem.

Congrats to both of you. Very nice 8 point. I can honestly say the doe is nicer than the one I didn't get!

Congrads to the both of you!, I'd thought you would have snow on the ground.

Hit almost 50 here today. Tomorrow we are getting some rain but we are still heading out in the morning.

Good luck, I love hunting in the rain as long as it's not a gully washer.

Good work, Joe Brady.

Hit 60 degrees where I was here in MD. Was going out today again but I don't do rain, not at all. PA plans for next week cancelled - cousin said there was a pisspoor mast crop in the area of his camp in Sinnamahoning, seeing zero deer so I won't waste the time/money to go up there.
