I got a new to me, used Shiloh MT roughrider. It seems to me like quite a bit of trigger creep on the set trigger (front trigger after set). Maybe 1/8 inch. Is that normal?

It may be a slight exaggeration, maybe a 1/16th but still noticeable

Still no. If one literally thinks about moving that second trigger, it should fire.

Hammer to “half cock”, run the trigger adjustment screw all the way in, then back it out until the front trigger will not set, then back in until you have the front trigger pull that you want. Should get red of any creep.

Trigger Creep? Is that another derogatory term for a Rifle Loony?

Half-Cock? I thought I was screwed when they told me I needed an orchiectomy. This sounds much worse.

Sorry, I was just browsing threads and had to throw that in. I'll let y'all get back to your discussion.

I tried that, the screw is pretty small and seems hard to turn, so I didnt want to force anything. I might have to run it over to Big Timber in the spring...

Thanks sharps 1874. I put some kroil on the screw for a couple of days and it moves free. I adjusted like you said and it worked great.
