95+mph is well below average in soccer , try 140 mph

Surface area and density might come into play?

This is what I like about this place. Only on the campfire can a guy start a thread about soccer, and it morphs into useful tips on personal grooming.

I think you're wrong about that, ol' JG was a standout midfielder in college. Until a guy knocked him down and he scraped his knee, he had to quit after that.

Very common career-ending injury for soccer players.

You got that right. I'm living proof. I'm betting you did.

I wasn't aware that many people knew about that. Wounds that almost break the skin is a place nobody wants to be, I assure you.

soccer is 90 minutes of running and getting pushed and kicked , next to wrestling is a very exhausting sport.
average retirement age of soccer players is about 35 .

I wasn't arguing that point, I was arguing that they're a bunch on in shape pussy's. Hockey players...not so much.

So many that don’t like soccer, have to open a thread about soccer, (multiple times) to let everyone know (weird ‘virtue signal’?) that they don’t like soccer, because it’s soccer.

Also to announce that they are clueless as to rules and strategy.

Classic can’t make this up. 😂😂

I watched todays game.

It was pretty intense honestly.

Not enough to stop me from making jokes about it. I mean 0-0 kinda calls for jokes. No?

MLB and NFL wish they had a formula to make their respective sports as non stop as a soccer game.

Screw you! I'm voting for Trump again!

0-0 is usually a close match with a lot of tension and anticipation for goal.

Soccer - the original "participation award" sport. You know... because of soccer moms.

A veritable simulacrum as it were.
