This is stupid Biden is stupid and anyone that thinks getting oil from somewhere else is going to help the environment or make “green” energy is also stupid. I’ve said it before We used more oil today than yesterday it’s been that way my whole life it’s not going to change in my lifetime. You can buy your queer mobile that plugs into an outlet and think you made a difference but all you did was confirm your stupid and will be that way forever. When you can plug your queer mobile into a rainbow or windmill let me know.
We have plenty of US oil available without paying Venezuela for it. This is supposed to be a door opening to reward the Venezuelan government for their willingness to discuss honest and fair elections there I’m sure all of this is on the up and up, eh? (Sarc). That will happen when we get free and honest elections in The USA.
Its all right to be white!! Stupidity left unattended will run rampant Don't argue with stupid people, They will drag you down to their level and then win by experience

The Limited Permit states all oroduced oil is to be shipped to the USA and that any profits derived from the Venezuelan oil be used to pay Venezuelan creditors in the USA.
The Guardian, WSJ If I read that correctly, the bidet administration is going to allow permit holders to invest money in oil production and all the profits will go toward unpaid creditors. Where is the motivation or monetary reward for the investor? And 10% for the big guy!

So, when did our president become a licensing agency? so, when did he become our president?

So, when did our president become a licensing agency? When he went into politics?

If Venezuela is not going to get the money do they have to allow their oil to be taken? We has 12 Super Carriers that say yes, yes they do.

This is actually a good long term strategic move.
The Russians are to busy in Ukraine to me messing around in Venezuela. Instead of letting someone like the Chinese come in and fill the power vacuum, we reengage in a small way that get the Venezuelan oil flowing to the U.S. again, while directing much of the proceeds into U.S. Capital markets, and start putting pressure on VZ to play nice again.

So the United States is basically taking oil from Venezuela by force if necessary? I fail to see how this is a good thing. I don't see how this sets a good precedent. What am I missing?

What force is being directly applied “if necessary”?

We have plenty of US oil available without paying Venezuela for it. It's a socialist helping out another socialist. I'm sure China had some input into all of this. kwg

Venezuelan Crude is very dirty. If so, why not refine it in Venezuela and ship the refined product to the U.S. refineries on the Gulf of Mexico for further processing? I doubt that the Venezuelan crude can be any dirtier than the Canadian shale oil crude.

Venezuelan Crude is very dirty. It’s heavier crude, mostly.
