The wife & I stayed at her brother & sister in law's place on Wednesday night before Thanksgiving and went out for pizza that evening. We took the sister in law's Porsche Macan GT5 SUV. I'll tell you that SOB has some real HP. Twin turbo V6 rated @434 horsepower, nearly identical to the 1967 Chevy L71 tri power 427. I do not like the European sports car lineup and never will but this thing has serious power. My neck still hurts from him romping on it. He loves fast cars & started out with a 1966 389 tri power GTO that he bought new with the money he saved working at his dad's restaurant.

A friend of mine's wife drives one. He drives a 718 Spyder. I drive a 718 Boxster S. They all scoot.

There's a reason why Porsche has won more races than any other manufacturer.

It’s kinda odd to see a soccer mom SUV with Launch Control on it. My wife drives a Mecan S. Twin turbo V6 but toned down to 350 hp. It’s plenty fast for her.

It’s a four door with a regular back seat. Your crotch fruit will have plenty of room.

Tony No worries, my crotch fruit won't be in one.

Buddy of mine has one in Sun Valley, Idaho .... he treats it like one of his kids. He's in banking, an empty nester, so he bought that car. He's constantly send pics of him with that car from various mountaintop views around Sun Valley and Ketchum.
We share pics of our kids - he sends pics of that car. His is a black 2017. He says it's zippy.

One of my oldest friends keeps trying to talk me into one. He's been working for our local Porsche dealership in sales for a while now. I'd just as soon sink 30k into the '06 GTO I already own and like. It'd wind up silly faster and still way cheaper.

I’d much rather have your friend’s ‘66 GTO.

Porsche's these days are cars you lease, not own FWIU.

I’d much rather have your friend’s ‘66 GTO. So would I. I had a '66 LeMans convertible that I kick my own ass for selling. I also had a '82 911 SC that was sort of cool, but I had to sell it when a Dodge Diesel out-accelerated me going up a long hill.

That 66 GTO he bought new, right out of high school, with cash. Pale yellow, black vinyl roof, black interior, 4 speed Hurst shifter, 389 cu. in. with 3 two barrel Rochesters. He now drives Porsche's & BMW's.

GTO's are very cool but not for a daily driver. I have a 911 that is a summer driver. Friends have Cayenne's and Macan's. Awesome cars.....

No SUV but my neighbor has a couple 911 twin turbo's that he gets out from time to time. What few hours that I have in them have been pure joy.

The 2022 Turbo S 0-60 time of 1.9 seconds is pretty respectable for a street car, I think. Plus, it makes all the right kinds of noises when doing it.

Tell that guy to stop Romping on your neck and it will stop hurting. Sorry i could not resist I have never been in a Porsche. Some day maybe never.

I couldn’t afford to look at one Probably no worse than a loaded diesel pickup. Same as far as affording though. Hard to give that much $$ for a vehicle that can be a heap of scrap in a matter of seconds.

I don't need the attention enough to buy a Porsche.
