Big bucks go nocturnal for the most part after a few days of Wisconsin gun deer season. Some move off the high ground and into the river bottoms and onto some of the islands. As we do every year we go after them.

Water levels are down so we couldn't use some of the boats so resorted to canoes. A plus was no thin ice to break, temperature at noon was 50*. Three bucks were shot and the newbie in camp scored a large one.

Drinks were on him at a local bar.

Bud that is a toad! If we had islands I’d use that tactic.

There is the definition of a "big" deer. None of this 150" giant/monster stuff.

Nice one.

That’s a beauty of a buck. Congratulations to the hunter as well as his friends that helped in his kill. 👍

That’s what it’s all about….spending time with family and friends and sharing our passion for the outdoors with them. There’s something uniquely satisfying with using boats, canoes, pirogues, etc in hunting and harvesting big game. I love floating the rivers with a rifle and cruising the beaches for big bear.

Are you by chance accepting adoption applications?

They say everything happens for a reason.
For me that reason is usually because I've made some bad decisions that I need to pay for.

Did the newbie splurge and buy a round of spotted cow?

Or special export?

Awesomeness

Spotted Cow is taboo is in our circle. Co-owner of the New Glarus Brewing Co. Deb Carey is a huge liberal and hangs out with the Obama's and Biden's.
