Appreciate all of the kind words. I'm headed north this afternoon for a weekend of coyote hunting with thermal scopes and some pheasant hunting during the day!

Congrats on a great season for you and your son. And especially on your new grandson. Looks like he’s going to have two great mentors.

Great stuff and times. My kiddo recently arrived in MT to play ball in college and is chomping at the bit to get out there.

Got out to do a little pheasant hunting over the weekend. -20F and a little breezy, but the temps and fresh snow had the birds really holding well. The ol' pup was kept pretty busy and the shotgun barrels were warm.

If something is going to break, it WILL happen when it's -20 or colder. The weather this fall has been terrible. If it's not blowing it's colder than he11 and sometimes it's both plus it's snowing. Tried to kill some coyotes using my buddy's new Pulsar thermal setup last weekend. We got a handful, but we got a blizzard on night 1 and had to quit after the third stand. Night 2 gave us a bright moon, no wind, and -20. We called it quits at 3am after we decided that neither of us were really having any fun. Winter came early and seems like it plans on staying.
