A friend here just picked up a 99C 308 win with a busted stock he's not getting a lot of help from Boyds identify which stock he needs to buy
Can anyone offer advice on this

I think they just make a generic straight or pistol grip with the post 90,000 upper tang cut (pre-90,000 was a little longer). Their stocks do not have the raised side panels (like the 1st version 99-H stock.)

I just received a Boyd's stock to put on a 250XXX pistol grip 99. It will definitely need some tweaking to fit it.

Johno Boyd's doesn't have a real good idea of what they offer. They regularly screw up their listings as to TD and Solid frame, last I recall they offer 2 butts, and 2 fore ends and none are to impressive I would suggest going to another supplier.

If it's a 308 he only has one choice from Boyds, the pistol grip stock.
No matter how bad his stock is busted it can probably be repaired
