Tongue-in-cheek homage to the Winchester M1885 High Wall. Rugers, T/C's, et al are the modern inheritors of what the Rolling Blocks, Ballards, Sharps, etc. started 150 years ago. While the "moderns" are wonderfully strong, efficient, and accurate, some of the vintage ones survive and just quietly (loudly?) keep doing their thing. All good, young and old alike! High Wall in R2 Lovell wildcat. Color case hardening by CPA, stock and rust bluing by me, Unertl 10x scope. Original year of birth, 1887, customization, 1930's-40's and today. And she shoots, 100 yards. 50 grain Blitz and enough 4198 to push it at 3000fps MV. Group outliers can be blamed on tired 70+ year old brass that wasn't exactly match quality as we define it today. At least that's my story!

This is when a high wall does what it is supposed to… Very cool and that is exactly what they are intended for.

Cool in the extreme! And let's not ignore other vintagers of that era like these Ballards and Stevens. What else is out there?

It is hard to beat the function and beauty of a 1877 Sharps. This is not a 1874, this is a much more svelt model 1877...
