Most would prefer NIB due to potential corrosion issues. Of course still reason to inspect.
There were ‘close outs’ at times years ago, about the time Knight in Iowa was moving to TN, or however that deal went. Yes you have to work inflation backwards, but you taint gonna get a better gun at a big box store today that an ‘Elite’ priced at $200 on closeout.
